Nino

Giovanni Nista, alias Nino, is an Italian knife-maker based in San Benedetto del Tronto, a town in the Marche region. His knives are born from the reproduction of the various ancient regional Italian models.

In his shop, divided into cutlery and laboratory, he takes care of every single piece by hand, after having learned the basics of this profession from Odorico Lucantoni, who made the knife for the fishermen of the Adriatic, today known by the name of Anconetano despite its original production being from Abruzzo.

Nino replicates the knives that had been invented out of necessity by various craftsmen in the last two centuries, from the classic Roman to the most sought-after Sicilians, maintaining his own style and preserving the traits that have distinguished them.

The final result is guaranteed by a careful selection of materials and by the autonomous construction of each single processing machine within the small workshop.

A member of the Italian Knifemakers Union, he has joined some of the most important national and international exhibitions and events. His signature has now become a point of reference for those who are passionate about the knife world.
