This pipe was handmade by the famous Italian artisan Luigi Viprati.
The item features the pipemaker's signature and the inscription "handmade in Italy".
Viprati is internationally known for the production of high quality pipes.
Viprati says:
“It all started in 1972, during my military service, when I bought a briar and carved a pipe just for fun. Thus was born a lifelong passion. In the following years I became more and more expert in briar wood, deepening the ancient culture of pipes. In 1984 I started signing my pipes with the 'La Pipa di Viprati' brand and shortly after I met Alberto Paronelli, a well-known producer and founder of an important museum dedicated to the pipe".
