This pipe was handmade in Italy by the Italian famous pipe-maker, Luigi Viprati.
Viprati is internationally known for producing high-quality pipes that look more like pieces of art than mere devices for smoking tobacco. As the craftsman says:
“It all started in 1972, during my military service when I bought a briarwood and carved a pipe just for fun. Thus was born a long-life passion. In the following years, I became more and more expert in working briarwood, deepening the ancient culture of pipes. In 1984 I started signing my pipes with the 'La Pipa di Viprati' brand and shortly after I met Alberto Paronelli, a well-known producer and founder of an important museum dedicated to pipes".
